Open Parent Communication

We know that parents are the most important people in a child's life. A strong partnership between parents and teachers makes the experience at Bluebonnet beneficial for both the child and their parents. We encourage parents to visit Bluebonnet at any time.

We have many ways to keep the communication open with parents. Talking to your child’s teacher is as easy as placing a telephone call; phones are in every classroom.

Parents can be a great resource to a class. Frequently parents are asked share their work with children. Veterinarians, dentists, chefs, fire fighters, artists and even astronauts have shared their experiences with our children. Teachers and parents work together to

Popular among parents is our communication app called . Through Tadpoles parents regularly receive email announcements of school-wide events, daily menus, classroom lesson plans, photos of their child and special individual notes to the family from your child’s teacher.

Bluebonnet also offers each enrolled child’s parents/guardians access to our WatchMeGrow in-classroom Internet cameras. Parents enroll online to set up their accounts, and then Bluebonnet verifies the family and approves the access. The family can also invite additional family members to view the child’s classroom. Use of WatchMeGrow is included in regular tuition.

Frequent individual parent conferences strengthen our partnership with families. Our conferences are a two-way conversation and enable us to share a child’s progress both at home and at school.

We are committed to working with families and to making every effort to be sensitive to each family’s values, culture, identity and home language.
