At Bluebonnet School we believe children learn best and are happiest in a caring environment with frequent positive interactions with degreed and experienced teachers.
Bluebonnet's individualized curriculum helps preschoolers to master the skills of development for this age. Language and literacy skills emerge, and math concepts are introduced through hands-on exploration and learning.
Teachers carefully design curriculum to enable children to learn important skills through play in carefully crafted learning centers. A learning center might be a sensory table for measuring sand as a math and science skill, a pretend store teaching literacy and math or an art center where children can express their creativity and explore different art materials.
Teachers observe and track each individual child’s development, then create a specific daily lesson plan with activities to strengthen and develop needed skills. Teachers share their observations in our frequent one-on-one parent conferences.
Music is a part of each weekly schedule and taught by our staff music teacher, developing a sense of rhythm, pitch, dance and a knowledge of different instruments.
Spanish is taught weekly, as well, with children learning Spanish songs and learning simple conversation. The prime time for learning languages is the preschool years.
